If you wish to speak to the doctors, non-emergency calls are answered at the end of the afternoon, and as time permits, between appointments. For a complicated problem, please schedule an appointment.
Our rooms are welcoming and many children are attended to there, however there may be a waiting time for a pediatrician should the hospital call unexpectedly. To assist with the waiting we have developed a children’s garden with play equipment and a little thatch gazebo where Mom’s may enjoy a welcoming cup of tea. Please feel free to use this area it is for you… and you will not be forgotten or miss your appointment.
Our paediatricians attend to hospital rounds, which include Paediatrics, Neo-natal and Maternity, first thing in the morning. For this reason we may run late attending to your scheduled appointment.
When we are running late our staff will always attempt to contact you to update you. Please make sure your cell phone is accessible on the day of your appointment, as we do occasionally encounter problems with this means of communication. It is also suggested that you, in person, check with our rooms that the doctors are on time for your scheduled appointment (emergencies are unpredictable). It is in our interest that patients do not sit and wait long hours in our rooms. A breastfeeding / changing room is available for your convenience.
Chronic medication forms. These forms are completed by the doctor and there will be a charge as per your personal medical aid scheme, this charge is claimable via your medical aid.
When requesting repeat scripts, please ensure you are able to give us the exact details of the medication that is required this should include the current medicines together with the dosage. Likewise the fax number of pharmacy to which the script should be directed should be supplied.
Our office policy is to collect payment in full for services provided at the time of the visit. We are pleased to accept cash, debit cards, MasterCard or VISA for your account settlement.
This practice does not charge the rates that The Department of Health has unilaterally determined for doctors and which are known as the Reference Price List (RPL). Please note that this is a specialist practice and specialist fees are charged accordingly, and it should be understood that your Medical Aid and plan of choice may or may not cover all the fees charged by the practice.
